Hezbollah’s Attack on Israel: 320 Rockets Fired at Northern Israel

On early Sunday morning (August 25), Hezbollah in Lebanon announced that the first phase of its retaliatory operation against Israel, due to the assassination of Fuad Shukr, has been successfully carried out.

The Lebanese military group stated in a statement that in the past two hours, 320 rockets have been fired at 11 targets in northern Israel.

According to Hezbollah, in addition to the rocket attacks, many areas of Israel were also targeted by drone attacks.

Hezbollah stated in its statement that it attacked deep into Israel with a large number of drones and targeted a high-value Israeli military target.

After these attacks, the Israeli government declared a 48-hour state of emergency across the country.

However, the Israeli army has stated that most of its attacks have been on Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon, but it will target any source of threat.

Meanwhile, Yoav Gallant, the Israeli Defense Minister, declared a state of emergency in the country. He had previously said that Israel would face a significant week ahead.

According to Israeli media, flights to and from Tel Aviv have been suspended for security reasons.

The office of the Israeli Prime Minister also announced that Netanyahu and the Defense Minister are managing the confrontation on the northern border of the country from the central command headquarters in Tel Aviv.

Israeli media reported that Netanyahu will hold a security cabinet meeting on Sunday morning.
