Taliban: Over 12,000 flights have been carried out from the airports in one year

Bayan News – The Taliban Ministry of Transport and Aviation has announced that in the past year, 12,503 domestic and international flights have been carried out from the airports of Afghanistan.

Officials from this ministry, who were speaking in an accountability program on Monday (August 26), added that through these flights, 1,897,000 passengers have traveled.

Based on the statistics of this ministry, of these, 774,700 people have flown to the interior and 1,122,583 others to outside the country.

However, Taliban transport officials also stated that a total of 40,016 overflights through Afghan airspace have been carried out in the past one year.

This is while some Western media have recently reported that due to the tensions in the Middle East, the number of overflights through Afghan airspace has increased.

Reuters reported in a report that currently, Afghan airspace is safer compared to Iran and Israel.
