The Israeli army bombed Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon

Bayan News – The Israeli army announced on Friday (September 20) that its fighter jets had bombed Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon over the past few hours.

In a statement, the Israeli army noted that as a result of these attacks, hundreds of launchers ready to fire rockets toward Israel were targeted.

According to the Israeli army, its actions to destroy Hezbollah’s infrastructure and capabilities in defense of Israel will continue.

Emphasis from the White House and Macron on a diplomatic solution

On the other hand, Karine Jean-Pierre, spokesperson for the White House, emphasized that Joe Biden, the President of the United States, still believes that achieving a diplomatic solution to stop the tension between Israel and Hezbollah is possible.

This comes as the bombing of communication devices carried by Hezbollah members resulted in the deaths of 37 people and around three thousand others injured.

At the same time, Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, in a speech to the Lebanese people, emphasized that a diplomatic path still exists and that a widespread war following the explosion of Hezbollah’s communication devices is not inevitable.

The French president, in his speech, pointed out the necessity of electing a president for Lebanon to confront the threats facing the country, urging political parties and the speaker of the parliament to fulfill their responsibilities in this regard.
