Asim Malik Appointed as Head of ISI
Bayan News – Pakistani media have reported that Asim Malik has been appointed as the head of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
Previously, Asim Munir was the head of ISI, appointed by Imran Khan in 2021.
The new ISI chief is expected to assume his duties next week.
Asim Malik currently holds command of the Pakistan Army in Rawalpindi.
Pakistani media have also reported that General Asim Malik is a graduate of the “Fort Leavenworth” University in the U.S. and the Royal College of Defence Studies in London.
He has served in various branches of the Pakistan Army and has been awarded the “Sword of Honour.”
