Russian Representative: Decision on Removing the Taliban from the List of Prohibited Organizations Will Be Made Soon
Bayan News – Zamir Kabulov, Russia’s special representative for Afghanistan, says that Moscow will soon announce the removal of the Taliban from the list of terrorist organizations.
Russian media quoted Kabulov on Friday (October 4) at the end of the sixth “Moscow Format” meeting, stating to reporters that the decision to remove the Taliban from Russia’s list of terrorist groups has been made at the highest level, but the process must go through legal procedures.
The special representative of Russia had previously mentioned that the proposal to remove the Taliban from the list of terrorist groups in Russia is on the desk of Vladimir Putin, the President of the country.
He added that the Russian Foreign Ministry has expressed its agreement with this decision.
If this decision is announced, Russia will become the third country in the region to remove the Taliban from its list of terrorist groups.
