First Anniversary of the Gaza War; Hezbollah Launches Rocket Attack on Major Israeli City
Bayan News – On the first anniversary of the Gaza war, Lebanon’s Hezbollah launched a rocket attack on Haifa, Israel’s third-largest city, in the early hours of Monday (October 7).
According to international media reports, Israeli police have announced that Hezbollah rockets struck Haifa, leaving ten Israelis injured.
According to published reports, Hezbollah, which is backed by Iran and allied with Hamas, claimed to have targeted a military base in southern Haifa with a “Fadi-1” missile.
Additionally, two rockets hit Haifa on Israel’s Mediterranean coast, and five rockets struck Tiberias.
Israeli police added that some buildings and properties were damaged, and there were reports of minor injuries, with some individuals being transferred to nearby hospitals.
At the same time, the Israeli army announced that it had attacked Hezbollah’s intelligence center in Beirut.
The Israeli military stated that, in the past few hours, they had carried out airstrikes on Hezbollah’s weapons depots in areas of Beirut and southern Lebanon.
It’s worth noting that the Hamas attacks on Israel on October 7 led to the Gaza war and raised the risk of a broader conflict across the Middle East.
According to Israeli statistics, around 1,200 people were killed in the Hamas fighters’ attack on Israel, and these fighters took around 250 hostages.
Palestinian health officials have announced that in Israel’s retaliatory offensive on Gaza, nearly 42,000 Palestinians have been killed.
