Crisis in Gaza and Lebanon: Qatar’s Prime Minister and Iran’s Foreign Minister Hold Talks

Bayan News – On Thursday, October 10, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported a meeting between Abbas Araghchi, the country’s Foreign Minister, and Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Qatar’s Prime Minister.

According to the statement from Iran’s Foreign Ministry, officials from both countries discussed the latest developments in Lebanon and Palestine.

During the meeting, both the Iranian Foreign Minister and the Qatari Prime Minister emphasized the necessity of a ceasefire.

The statement from the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that Araghchi described the “aggression by the Zionist regime as the main cause of insecurity and instability in the region,” calling for the use of all regional resources and capacities to immediately halt the war and prevent the continuation of genocide and the destruction of infrastructure in Lebanon and Palestine.

The Ministry added that Qatar’s Prime Minister also called for “regional cooperation to stop the war and crimes of the Zionist regime, achieve lasting stability and security in the region, and provide aid to the people of Palestine and Lebanon.”

The Iranian Foreign Minister began his regional tour to discuss the Middle East crisis and the war in Gaza and Lebanon with a visit to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday. He also met with Saudi officials, including Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, to discuss regional developments.
