Turkey Deports 325 Afghan Refugees in Two Days
Bayan News – Reports indicate that over the past two days, Turkish police have detained and deported 325 Afghan refugees residing illegally in the country.
The Taliban’s Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation confirmed on Sunday, November 10, that these refugees were deported and arrived at Kabul airport on Friday and Saturday.
In a statement, the Ministry noted that the deported refugees have been referred to international organizations for assistance.
This comes as the Turkish government has intensified the detention and deportation of undocumented refugees in recent months.
According to published statistics, Turkish police have detained at least three thousand Afghan refugees in the past year and transferred them to migrant camps.
