Germany Transfers 200 Afghan Refugees from Pakistan After Several Months of Delay

Bayan News – German media, citing the country’s Ministry of the Interior, have reported that the German government, after several months of delay, has transferred around 200 Afghan refugees from Pakistan to Germany.

According to a report published on Friday (November 15), these refugees were transferred the previous day.

The refugees are said to have been local collaborators with German forces in Afghanistan.

As reported by Deutsche Welle, the Afghan refugees were flown on a chartered flight from Islamabad, Pakistan, to the city of Erfurt.

The organization of this flight is said to have been arranged by Germany’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

After landing in Erfurt, the refugees will be transported by bus to the state of Lower Saxony.

Following the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan, the German government has relocated several of its local collaborators, human rights activists, and journalists to the country.
