Iran Calls on Security Council to Take Action to Stop Israeli Attacks Violating Its National Sovereignty
Bayan News – The Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations has sent a letter to the UN Secretary-General and the Security Council, requesting the cessation of Israeli attacks on Iran’s national sovereignty.
According to Iranian media, Iran’s Permanent Mission to the UN submitted a list of Israeli attacks on Iran’s territorial integrity and actions against Iranian nationals to the Security Council on Friday (November 15).
In its letter, Iran’s mission urged the UN Security Council to take the necessary measures to halt Israel’s actions, which constitute violations of international law.
Earlier this month, Amir Saeid Iravani, Iran’s Permanent Representative to the UN, stated during a Security Council meeting on Israeli attacks against Iran’s national sovereignty that Israeli fighter jets had launched long-range air-to-surface missiles from approximately 100 kilometers outside Iran’s borders, using airspace facilitated by U.S. military forces in Iraq.
According to Iran’s Permanent Representative, these missiles targeted several Iranian border defense radars in the provinces of Ilam, Khuzestan, and Tehran, as well as military sites.
