Deadly Attack on Worshippers in Baghlan; Victims Were Young and Sunni
Bayan News – A well-informed source in Baghlan province, northern Afghanistan, told a Bayan News reporter that 12 people were shot dead by unidentified armed individuals while worshipping in a shrine.
The source added that this tragic incident occurred on Thursday evening (November 21) at a shrine in the Nahrin district of Baghlan province.
According to the source, the victims were attacked during prayers and remembrance rituals.
The source also noted that the assailants appeared to be equipped with advanced weapons fitted with silencers, as neighbors near the shrine were unaware of the attack.
Additionally, the source stated that the victims were young men who were Sunni Muslims and belonged to the Tajik ethnic group.
Several hours have passed since the incident, but no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Taliban security officials have also not provided any response to journalists or the Afghan public regarding this incident.
