Pakistan’s Interior Minister: No Afghan Will Be Allowed to Stay Illegally Starting from the New Year
Bayan News – Mohsin Naqvi, Pakistan’s Interior Minister, stated that from the beginning of the new year, no Afghan migrant will be allowed to remain in the country illegally.
This Pakistani security official made these remarks on Wednesday, November 27, during a visit to a construction project for an underpass tunnel in Islamabad.
According to Pakistani media, the Interior Minister added that Afghans without valid documentation will not be allowed to remain in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.
In his speech, he outlined the government’s stance on foreign nationals residing in Islamabad.
Meanwhile, Afghan migrants in Islamabad have reported an increase in restrictions on their movements imposed by the Pakistani government.
Nevertheless, the deportation of undocumented Afghan migrants by the Pakistani authorities is ongoing.
