Bayan News – It has been reported that following a verbal dispute between Iranian citizens and Afghan workers in Yazd province, Iran, the Iranian citizens set the Afghan workers’ rooms on fire.
Sources told Afghanistan-related media on Sunday, December 8, that the incident occurred two nights earlier in the “Azadshahr” area of Yazd province.
According to the sources, eight Afghan workers suffered severe burns as a result of the incident, with the condition of some reported as critical.
This comes amid a significant rise in anti-migrant sentiment in several Iranian cities over the past year, leading to increased attacks by Iranian citizens against Afghan migrants.
