Tahrir al-Sham Group Bans Interference in Women’s Attire or Appearance

Bayan News – Reports indicate that Tahrir al-Sham, the new ruling authority in Syria, has issued a decree prohibiting any interference in women’s freedoms, particularly concerning their clothing and appearance.

In a statement released on Monday, December 9, by the General Command of the opposition groups governing Damascus, it was declared that interfering in women’s attire or imposing any requirements regarding their appearance is strictly forbidden.

The statement reads: “Personal freedom is guaranteed for all, and respect for individual rights is the foundation of building a civilized nation.”

This move by Tahrir al-Sham has received widespread coverage in international media and social media platforms.
