The Interim Government’s Political Commission Reviewed Developments in Syria and the Middle East
Bayan News – The Political Commission of the Interim Government announced that recent developments in Syria and the Middle East were discussed and analyzed during its latest meeting.
On Monday, December 9, the Presidential Office reported that the Political Commission’s meeting, chaired by Mullah Abdul Kabir, Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, took place the day before.
According to the statement from the Presidential Office:”This session addressed recent developments in Syria and the Middle East, the expansion of relations and engagement with neighboring and regional countries, as well as advancements in political, security, and economic sectors in Afghanistan.”
Improved governance and enhanced coordination between the government and the public were among the other topics discussed in the Political Commission’s meeting.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Interim Government issued a statement the day before, welcoming the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad’s government and congratulating the victory of the Islamist group Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham.
Additionally, celebrations were reportedly held in several Afghan provinces, including Kandahar, Nangarhar, Laghman, and Khost, to mark Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham’s victory.
