Israeli Airstrikes Target Syrian Military Positions in Suwaida and Aleppo
Bayan News – International media have reported that Israel launched airstrikes on Syrian military positions in the cities of Suwaida and Aleppo early Saturday (December 14).
According to published reports, the Israeli airstrikes targeted military centers of the Syrian army in Suwaida and Aleppo, located in southern Syria.
It is reported that Israel bombed a scientific research center and military industries facility on the outskirts of Aleppo.
Since the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s government and the rise of Islamist groups in Syria, this is one of several instances where the Israeli military has attacked parts of Syrian territory.
Earlier reports suggested that Israel had targeted weapons depots left over from Bashar al-Assad’s government in Syria.
Additionally, reports indicate that the Israeli military has occupied approximately 25 kilometers of Syrian territory, an action that has been condemned by several regional countries, including Qatar and Jordan.
