The Taliban Signed a Contract for Takhār Gold Mine with a Chinese Company
Bayan News – The Taliban’s Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has announced the signing of a contract for the Takhār province gold mine with a Chinese company.
On Saturday, December 21, the ministry stated that the extraction of the gold mine, valued at $350 million, has been contracted to the Chinese company.
According to the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, the gold extraction rights were awarded to this Chinese company for five years following an open competition.
However, over the past three years, most of Afghanistan’s mining projects have been granted to Chinese companies for extraction.
