Israeli Prime Minister Warns Yemen’s Houthis
Bayan News – Following intensified missile attacks from Yemen on Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu warned that the Houthis would face the same fate as Israel’s other enemies in the region.
On Wednesday (December 25), Netanyahu said during a ceremony in Jerusalem: “The Houthis will also learn the same lesson that Hamas, Hezbollah, the Assad regime, and others have learned. Even if it takes time, this lesson will resonate throughout the Middle East.”
This warning comes amid recent escalations, as Yemen’s Houthis have increased their missile attacks on Tel Aviv, the center of Israel, with several missiles hitting their targets without interception.
Meanwhile, Yemen’s Houthis announced that they had identified a spy network linked to Israel’s Mossad and the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
In an official statement, the Houthis claimed that this network was tasked with identifying and monitoring Houthi military sites, including missile bases, drone facilities, naval installations, and weapons storage depots.
Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, one of the leaders of the Houthi militia backed by the Islamic Republic of Iran, addressed Benjamin Netanyahu, saying: “Do you think you can do to us what you did to Hezbollah? Ask the Jews of Yemen who we are.”
Additionally, Israel’s Foreign Minister announced yesterday that, at Israel’s request, the United Nations Security Council would hold an emergency meeting on Yemen within the next four days.
