Mujahid: Pakistan’s instability has nothing to do with us
Bayan News – Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman for the Taliban government, has termed the allegations of Pakistani officials as “baseless” and expressed that such allegations undermine the relationship between the two countries.
The Taliban spokesman said on Saturday (June 1) in an audio recording released through the national television that the instability in Pakistan is an internal matter of that country and has no connection with Afghanistan.
Mujahid emphasized that the current Afghan government has tried to improve relations with Pakistan, but baseless allegations have not solved any problems. “We have made all efforts to improve relations, but unfortunately, mentioning unjustified and baseless allegations has not solved any problems.”
This Taliban official also pointed out that the internal instability in Pakistan indicates the weakness of Islamabad’s security forces.
It is worth mentioning that Pakistani officials claim that insurgent groups have challenged Pakistan’s security by using Afghan soil; an allegation that has always been rejected by the Taliban.
