Bayan News – Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine, says that Chinese diplomats in the region are trying to disrupt the peace talks in Switzerland.
Zelenskyy made these statements on Sunday (June 2) at a security forum in Singapore and accused China of trying to disrupt the global Ukraine peace conference.
The Ukrainian President clearly stated that China is pressuring regional countries not to participate in the Ukraine peace talks.
He said, “Russia, using China’s influence and its diplomats in the region, is doing everything it can to disrupt the peace talks.”
Zelenskyy further stated, “It is regrettable that a great, independent and powerful country like China is a tool in Putin’s hands.”
The Chinese Foreign Ministry refrained from commenting on Zelenskyy’s allegations.
The International Ukraine Peace Conference will be held in Switzerland on 15th and 16th of this month.
