UNICEF: 90% of children in Gaza lack access to healthy food
Bayan News – The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has expressed concern over the lack of food for children in the Gaza Strip.
This UN agency has recently added that out of every 10 children in Gaza, 9 of them do not have access to the food necessary for healthy growth.
UNICEF said that months of conflict in Gaza, along with the restriction of aid and disruption of access to food and health services, have had disastrous consequences for the children of Gaza and their families.
The organization said on Thursday that the “horrific” effects of the war in Gaza are rapidly placing children at risk of malnutrition that threatens their lives.
While aid organizations talk about the challenges and limitations in their activities in Gaza, Israel claims that it has not imposed any restrictions on the provision of humanitarian aid in Gaza.
According to the information of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, more than 36,500 people have been killed in the Israeli attacks on this enclave so far.
These attacks began after the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7th, in which the group killed around 1,200 people and took 253 hostages.
