Political opponents of the Taliban will hold a meeting in Vienna next week
Bayan News – It has been reported that a group of political currents and figures opposed to the Taliban will hold a meeting on Wednesday (June 26) next week in Vienna, the capital of Austria.
According to the reports, the Resistance Front, the Freedom Front, the Jamiat and Wahdat-e Islami parties are among the participants of this meeting.
It is said that around 70 political figures opposed to the Taliban will participate in this meeting, representing various political currents of Afghanistan.
It has also been stated that members of the previous government, university professors, civil activists and media representatives have also been invited to this meeting.
In the preliminary list of participants, the names of Ahmad Massoud, the leader of the Resistance Front, Rangin Dadfar Spanta, the former foreign minister, Rahmatullah Nabil, the former head of the National Directorate of Security of Afghanistan, and Sima Samar, the former head of the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission, can also be seen.
This meeting is being held just one week before the third Doha conference; a conference that the political opponents of the Taliban are opposed to and have also not been invited to the Doha meetings.
