Ten people killed due to heavy rainfall and flooding in Zabul

Bayan News – Local sources in Zabul province say that following heavy rainfall and flooding in this province, 10 people have been killed.

Zabihullah Javahir, the spokesman for the Taliban security command in Zabul, added that Qalat, the center of this province, and several districts experienced heavy rainfall and flooding last night (August 4).

According to him, so far the bodies of three people have been found and three others are missing.

Zabihullah Mujahid said that the heavy rainfall and flooding have also caused massive financial losses.

He said that the floods have also destroyed the transportation routes in Qalat and Shinkay.

However, the extent of the financial losses is not yet known.

The Taliban’s Meteorological Department has also forecast heavy rain and flooding in 11 provinces of the country, including Zabul, for tomorrow.
