Putin visited Chechnya after 13 years
Bayan News – The Kremlin announced on Wednesday morning (August 21) the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Chechnya.
The Kremlin statement said that Putin and Ramzan Kadyrov, the President of Chechnya, met with soldiers and volunteers who are preparing for the war with Ukraine.
Putin’s visit to Chechnya comes after 13 years.
The President of Russia said to the Chechen soldiers: “As long as we have men like you, we will definitely be invincible.”
Putin’s visit to this predominantly Muslim republic of Russia is taking place while Moscow is trying to expel Ukrainian forces from the Kherson region within its own territory.
Ramzan Kadyrov is considered one of Vladimir Putin’s main allies, and the soldiers under his command have been extensively involved in the war in Ukraine.
