Over 23 passengers in Pakistan shot dead by armed assailants

Bayan News – Pakistani media have reported that armed assailants in Balochistan province pulled 23 passengers off buses and trucks and then shot them dead.

Geo News on Monday (August 26) quoted Ayub Achakzai, a Pakistani police official, as saying the incident took place in the Mousa Khel district of Balochistan province.

Ayub Achakzai, the Pakistani police official, said the armed men blocked the highway and then made the passengers get off their vehicles before killing them.

He added that police and army forces have reached the site and are transporting the bodies to the hospital.

Senior government officials in Pakistan have condemned the incident and expressed condolences to the victims’ families.

Incidents of insecurity and armed attacks have increased in Balochistan province in recent months.
