Bayan News – Reports from Badakhshan province indicate that a 12-year-old boy has hanged himself and ended his life in the Shighnan district of the province.
Local sources have stated that this boy committed suicide two days ago (August 27) in the village of “Wir” in the Shighnan district. Sources say that the young boy was named Hashmat, and the motive for his suicide remains unclear.
Since the Taliban regained control of Afghanistan, instances of suicide in the country have increased. Despair about the future, poverty, unemployment, and psychological problems are cited as major factors contributing to suicides in the country.
