McCall: Biden and Harris are Responsible for the Deplorable Situation of Women in Afghanistan
Bayan News – Michael McCall, chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, stated yesterday (August 29) that Joe Biden, the President of the United States, and his Vice President Kamala Harris are responsible for the dire situation of women and girls in Afghanistan.
McCall added that Biden and Harris have ignored the conditions outlined in the Doha agreement signed during Trump’s administration, leaving Afghan women and girls abandoned.
He emphasized that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris must be held accountable for their complicity with the Taliban in the abuse of Afghan women.
The chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee further stated: “During President Trump’s time, the Doha agreement conditioned the withdrawal of the United States from Afghanistan on whether the Taliban could meet basic requirements such as respecting women’s rights.”
Global concerns about the worsening situation of women in Afghanistan are intensifying as the Taliban recently enacted the law on virtue and put it into implementation. This law, which consists of 35 articles, severely restricts women.
