After Germany, Austria Also Expels Afghan Criminals
Bayan News – The Federal Immigration Office of Austria has announced that the government of this country will adopt a policy of expelling criminal migrants, just like Germany.
According to Euronews, this Austrian immigration office has also supported Germany’s decision to expel criminal asylum seekers.
The report states that Karl Nehammer, the Austrian Interior Minister, has said they will work jointly with the German government to expel asylum seekers from Afghanistan and Syria.
The Austrian Interior Minister emphasized that he has been in discussions with his German counterpart regarding the expulsion of asylum seekers from Afghanistan and Syria for several months.
He also added that the process of expelling asylum seekers had been delayed due to the Taliban’s renewed control over Afghanistan.
Karl added: “The fact that a terrorist regime is responsible there, namely the Taliban, was the reason for the suspension. Therefore, close cooperation with regional partners is very important so that we can directly return people to Kabul or Afghanistan.”
This comes at a time when the German government has recently transferred 28 Afghan migrants with criminal records in Germany to Kabul.
