Amnesty International: The Massacre of Shia is Targeted and Systematic

Bayan News – In response to the execution of Shia individuals in Daykundi province, Amnesty International has stated that this massacre by the ISIS group is carried out in a targeted and systematic manner.

The office of Amnesty International in South Asia added on Saturday (September 14) that the ISIS attack against Shia individuals in Daykundi is part of a broader and systematic pattern of deliberate attacks against the Shia community.

The office has noted that Shia individuals have been systematically targeted since 2015.

This human rights organization called for the immediate prosecution of those responsible for deliberate attacks against Shia individuals on Saturday.

The organization indicated that Shia individuals have been attacked in places of worship, schools, hospitals, roads, and other public spaces in Afghanistan since 2015.

Amnesty International emphasized that the perpetrators of this attack must be brought to justice immediately. The organization also called for measures to protect the Shia community from further harm.

In a statement, the organization asserted that the recent shooting of Hazara civilians in Daykundi reflects the ongoing impunity in Afghanistan. Amnesty International urged the international community to work towards establishing an independent international mechanism to address widespread and systematic human rights violations and crimes under international law in Afghanistan.

Two days ago, ISIS Khorasan executed 14 Hazara civilians in Daykundi.

This attack has faced widespread international condemnation.
