German Chancellor: The situation in Afghanistan under Taliban control is unbearable

Bayan News – Olaf Scholz, the German Chancellor, says that the situation in Afghanistan under Taliban rule is extremely unbearable.

The German Chancellor made these remarks on Tuesday (September 17) during a meeting with Kazakh officials. This German official arrived in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, yesterday.

Mr. Scholz added, “What is happening in Afghanistan is very concerning and unacceptable.”

The German Chancellor also stated, “It is absolutely clear to us that this government has come to power illegitimately, and very concerning developments are taking place in this country.”

The German official described the situation in Afghanistan under Taliban rule as unbearable, while the President of Kazakhstan called for the normalization of relations between the Taliban and Germany.

However, Central Asian countries, including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan, have established close political and economic ties with the Taliban.
