The Value of One Dollar Has Decreased to 68.80 Afghanis in Kabul Markets
Bayan News – Money exchangers in Kabul report that the value of one US dollar in Kabul markets fell to 68.80 Afghanis on Saturday, September 21.
At the same time, the Taliban’s central bank has also stated that in the first six months of the current solar year, the value of the Afghani has increased by three percent against foreign currencies, particularly the dollar.
Hasibullah Nuri, a spokesperson for the bank, said on Thursday, September 19, that the central bank has managed to strengthen the value of the Afghani against other currencies by implementing better monetary policies and preventing the smuggling of dollars out of the country.
Nuri added: “In the past six months, Da Afghanistan Bank has successfully maintained the value of the Afghani. According to our information, over the past year, the Afghani has increased by 17.25 percent against foreign currencies, and in the last six months, it has risen by three percent.”
Exchangers have reported that in all currency markets, the demand for Afghanis has increased.
