Murder of a Young Afghan Woman in Southern Tehran

Bayan News – Reports indicate that the body of a young Afghan woman was found on Friday, October 25, in the Qiamdasht area in southern Tehran.

Iranian media reported on Sunday, October 27, that Tehran police have arrested three men in connection with the murder of this Afghan woman. According to Jomhouri Islami newspaper, “Preliminary investigations indicated that the victim was killed in a different location, and the perpetrators initially placed the body inside a closet and then transported it to the targeted village.”

According to the published report, Tehran police arrested three men following initial investigations, who are now under questioning on suspicion of the young Afghan woman’s murder. It has also been reported that her body has been sent to forensic medicine for more detailed examinations.

The motive and reason behind the murder of this young Afghan woman remain unknown. However, this is one of several incidents in the past year where Afghan migrants have been murdered by unknown individuals.
