An armed clash between Taliban border forces and the Islamic Republic was reported
Bayan News – It has been reported that early Wednesday morning (October 30), Iranian border guards and Taliban border forces engaged in an armed confrontation.
According to Halvash News Agency, the clash occurred at the zero-point border in Hirmand County. Published reports indicate that the armed conflict began after Iranian border guards fired on a fuel tanker belonging to a Baloch at the border, killing one person.
Halvash News Agency, which covers events related to Sistan and Baluchestan, published footage in which the sound of consecutive gunfire can be heard. The agency reported that the clash between the Taliban and the Islamic Republic’s border guards began after “Border Battalion forces fired from Tower 4 at the Sasuli Village outpost in Hirmand County” at several Baloch fuel carriers.
According to the report, a 26-year-old fuel carrier named Naeem Rigi, a resident of Khatam Ghaljai Sasuli village, was killed.
As of now, official sources from both the Taliban and the Islamic Republic have not commented on the clash.
Since the Taliban took power in Afghanistan, border guards from this group have repeatedly engaged in skirmishes with the Islamic Republic’s border guards.
