Gunmen Abduct Seven Pakistani Officers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Bayan News – Pakistani media, citing a police official in the Bannu region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reported that unidentified gunmen abducted seven police officers.
Ziauddin, one of the police officers in Bannu, told Geo News that on the evening of Monday, November 28, after Maghrib prayers, the gunmen seized control of a police checkpoint, disarmed the officers, and took them to an unknown location.
According to the published report, a search operation to apprehend the kidnappers began after security forces surrounded the area.
Geo News reported that incidents of police personnel abductions and attacks on security institutions have increased in northwestern Pakistan.
The outlet added that since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, Pakistan has faced a surge in terrorist activities across the country, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
