New Iranian Ambassador: Afghans Must Enter Iran Through Legal Channels
Bayan News – Alireza Bikdeli, the new Iranian ambassador to Kabul, has stated that Afghans must travel to Iran through legal channels.
Speaking to reporters on Saturday (November 30) at Kabul Airport, the newly appointed ambassador emphasized that Afghan migrants who enter Iran legally are respected and face no mistreatment.
Bikdeli said: “We will strive to regulate the presence of Afghan nationals in our country and manage people’s movement, using this as an opportunity to strengthen bilateral relations.”
According to the ambassador, the primary mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran, including its embassy in Afghanistan, is to enhance neighborly relations between the two countries.
This comes at a time when the Islamic Republic has recently intensified the expulsion of undocumented migrants.
Not long ago, Iran’s Interior Minister stated that the country can no longer accommodate undocumented Afghan migrants, and their expulsion has become a priority.
He also emphasized that this action would be carried out in coordination with Iran’s Ministry of Labor.
