On March 8, a number of women’s rights activists said that the deprivation of the rights of Women and Girls of Afghanistan is neither in religion nor in accordance with the culture of the afghan people.
Forouzan Rasouli, a women’s rights activist and member of Amnesty International, added in a videotape released by REINA Amiri, the US Special Representative for Women in Afghanistan, that in the current situation, women and girls have been deprived of their basic and human rights.
The women’s rights activist also noted that in order for Afghan women to get out of these problems, everyone should support them.
Today, which coincided with International Women’s Day, the taliban’s top official also said the occasion was a happy occasion for women and the people of Afghanistan.
In his message, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, deputy political director of the acting government, described men and women as two wings of society and stressed that the government respects women’s rights in light of the islamic religion’s rulings and guidance.
The senior Taliban official made such remarks that schools have been blocked for nearly two years, while the past few months have also blocked the doors of universities to female students.
