According to the Mehr News Agency, the incident occurred around 7:15 am on Sunday (July 8th) after two explosions and an armed confrontation took place.
According to the report, there were four attackers, three of whom were killed by the police, and efforts are underway to capture one attacker alive.
Mehr, citing unofficial sources, reported that two police officers were killed in the attack, and four attackers were also killed.
Iranian information sources told the news agency that the attack was not a suicide attack and that the attackers only detonated their explosives.
The source said that only one police officer and three attackers were killed, and efforts are underway to capture the remaining attacker alive.
Previously, Police Station No. 16 in Zahedan was the target of a similar attack last year, which killed and injured dozens of people.
