Bayan News

A number of international media outlets have reported that the German military has allocated € 100 billion to counter Russian threats.

According to Al-Arabiya Farsi, the German government, in an agreement with the conservative position, has allocated a budget of 100 billion euros to modernize the German army to counter the Russian threat.

The German government and opposition will set up a special military procurement fund on Sunday (June 8th) that will allow Berlin to achieve NATO’s goal of allocating 2% of each member state’s gross domestic product to defense.

It is said that this agreement will change the German constitution as well.

In addition, the allocation of special funds for the modernization of the army will bring about a fundamental change in German policy. The German army has shrunk considerably since the end of the Cold War, and its troop size has shrunk from about 500,000 in 1990 to the current 200,000.
