Bayan News – Local sources from the Kandahar province in southern Afghanistan have reported that a ten-year-old child in the center of the province took their own life on Friday (August 24) due to family violence.
According to Kandahar security officials, the child’s name was Mohibullah, and out of fear of their father’s violence, they hanged themselves.
According to published information, the child had gone to a water park after school closure, and upon returning home, their mother threatened to inform their father about their visit to the water park.
Security officials have initiated an investigation into the child’s suicide.
However, in recent years, reports of adolescent suicides in southern Afghanistan, particularly in the Kandahar province, have been published.
