Ministry of External Affairs of India: Afghan Embassy in New Delhi to Continue Its Operations
Bayan News – The Ministry of External Affairs of India has announced that it is in contact with Afghan diplomats in New Delhi, Hyderabad, and Mumbai, and the Afghan Embassy will continue its operations.
Arindam Bagchi, the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, recently stated that the ministry received a note from the Afghan Embassy in New Delhi last week, indicating that it intended to suspend its activities.
He stated that the Indian government remains committed to its humanitarian efforts to assist the people of Afghanistan.
However, earlier, the Afghan Embassy in New Delhi had declared in a letter that it would suspend its operations from the beginning of this month due to a shortage of personnel and lack of support from the Indian government.
Over the past two years, the Afghan Embassy in India has had no interaction or coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, and the Indian Embassy has also not been active in Afghanistan.
