Israeli Attack on Targets in Syrian Territory
Bayan News – The Israeli military has announced that it conducted an attack on targets in Syrian territory following the impact of two rockets in the northern part of the country.
According to international media reports, early this morning on Sunday, December 30th, sirens sounded in northern Israel, and shortly after, two rockets launched from Syrian territory fell in an open area in northern Israel.
The Israeli military stated in a statement that it targeted areas from where the rockets were launched (Syrian territory); however, it is unclear which specific area the rockets landed in and what casualties resulted from the attack.
In recent weeks, the Israeli military has increased its attacks in certain areas of Syrian territory.
Nevertheless, the Bashar al-Assad government receives significant military and financial support from the Iranian government, and tensions between Iran and Israel have escalated in recent days.
On the other hand, Sayed Raze Musavi, a senior commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards in Syria, was killed in the Israeli attack.
