Moments after the severe earthquake, Acting Government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid was quoted by the Ministry of Public Health as saying that the ministry had ordered all health facilities in the provinces to be put on high alert.
According to Mujahid, no bad newshas yet been received about the casualties.
Mr. Mujahid also added in a statement that no damages have been reported from Badakhshan, Takhar, Kunduz and Panzshar provinces.
On Tuesday night (March 22), a severe earthquake reportedly shook Kabul and afghanistan’s northern provinces unprecedentedly.
The epicenter of the quake is believed to have been Badakhshan Province.
