Officials from kabul’s acting government said thatU.S. officials are promoting daesh’s presence in Afghanistan in favor of the group.
Zabihullah Mujahid, a spokesman for kabul’s acting government, made the remarks on Friday (May 25), adding that statements by US officials about the number of ISIS members in Afghanistan do not match the reality.
“The Khawarij group, called Daesh, has already been knocked down,” he said in a twitter ode.
“The heartache of the US officials with this issue, as well as their magnification, is their cooperation with Daesh and the campaign in their favor, which must be stopped,” Hekmayat said.
The comments come as a number of US officials recently said that DAESH from Afghanistan threatens U.S. security.
Meanwhile, the acting government forces have recently destroyed ISIS hideouts in Kabul and Balkh province during several operations.
