Bayan news

In response to the recent words of the United Nations Secretary General, the Ministry of Finance of the caretaker government of Kabul has said that positive economic changes have taken place after the Taliban took control of Afghanistan.

This ministry has reacted on Thursday (May 4) in connection with the statements of Antonio Guterres, the Secretary General of the United Nations, who gave a speech at the Doha meeting regarding Afghanistan’s economic crisis.

The Secretary General of the United Nations said that Afghanistan is facing a major economic crisis and 90% of the country’s citizens live in poverty and hunger, but the Ministry of Finance of the caretaker government of Kabul calls these statements far from reality and unfair.

In the newsletter of this ministry, it is stated that after the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate in Afghanistan, there have been positive and significant developments in the economic field of the country.

This ministry asked all international organizations to analyze and evaluate the economic situation of Afghanistan in a precise way and to carry out their responsibility impartially.

In the last few months, international organizations have expressed concern about the spread of the economic crisis and the rising poverty among Afghan families and have demanded about one billion dollars to deal with this crisis.
