Shanghai Organization will hold a virtual meeting on Afghanistan tomorrow

The “Times of India” newspaper has reported that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization will discuss the current situation in Afghanistan in a meeting tomorrow, Tuesday (July 4).

This meeting, which will be held virtually and hosted by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will be attended by Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, Xi Jingping, President of China, Shahbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan and a number of other officials of member countries of this organization.

According to the report of this newspaper, in addition to the current situation in Afghanistan, there will also be a discussion about the developments in Ukraine and regional issues in this meeting.

It is said that Iran’s permanent membership will be confirmed and officially announced at tomorrow’s meeting.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which was established in 2004, Afghanistan became a member of this organization a year after its establishment.
