Foreign Ministry: Special Representatives of Eight Countries Reassured Continuation of Interaction with the Kabul Interim Government

Bayan News – Officials from the Afghan Foreign Ministry have said that Amir Khan Muttaqi, the head of this ministry, met and held talks with special representatives from the United States, Britain, Spain, South Korea, the Netherlands, Italy, Australia, and Canada in Doha, the capital of Qatar, on Tuesday, August 1st.

Hafiz Zia Ahmad, the deputy spokesperson for the ministry, said that Mr. Muttaqi provided information to the representatives of these countries regarding political, economic, security, good governance, and the fight against narcotics.

According to the deputy spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Muttaqi responded to the questions and concerns of the special representatives of these countries and added that they should observe the realities of Afghanistan closely.

Ahmad added that the participants of this meeting emphasized the continuation of such meetings and reassured their interaction with the Kabul Interim Government.

Amir Khan Muttaqi recently led a delegation to Doha to hold talks with the special representatives of the United States.
