“Ukraine War: Threatening Statements from US and Russian Foreign Ministers

Bayan News – As the war in Ukraine continues to escalate, Antony Blinken, the US Secretary of State, has stated that Moscow has violated the United Nations Charter with its attacks in Ukraine.

During a session of the United Nations Security Council on Thursday (September 20th), he added that the United States will not leave Ukraine alone and that Moscow must also refrain from nuclear threats.

Meanwhile, Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, described the actions of the United States and the West as contributing to instability and exacerbating conflicts around the world.

The Russian Foreign Minister emphasized that the United States seeks to secure its own interests by interfering in the affairs of other countries, and he stressed that the West has no genuine intention to end the war in Ukraine.

The United Nations Security Council held a session yesterday, during which António Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, delivered a speech and referred to the crisis in Ukraine.

Guterres added that Russia’s war in Ukraine threatens regional stability, exacerbates tensions and nuclear threats, and deepens divisions in the world towards multipolarization.

It has been nearly 20 months since Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine, and during this time, the international community has been unable to prevent Moscow’s military attacks on Ukraine.”
