Exhibition in Kabul Suspended Indefinitely

Bayan News – Officials from the Ministry of Industry and Trade have announced that the holding of industrial and trade exhibitions in Kabul has been suspended until further notice, pending the finalization of new procedures by the ministry.

Abdul Salam Jawad, the spokesperson for the ministry, stated in a video message to reporters on Tuesday, October 3rd, that in order to improve the organization of exhibitions nationwide, it is necessary to introduce fundamental changes in the process of holding these exhibitions.

According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the holding of exhibitions will be delayed until the new procedures are established.

Furthermore, the ministry’s spokesperson has announced the holding of a professional women’s trade exhibition in Kabul and stated that there are no restrictions on the participation of women in trade exhibitions.

He emphasized that the Islamic Emirate fully supports women in the economic sector, and measures have been taken to create opportunities for increased participation of women in the economic sector.

This comes at a time when women and girls face restrictions in education, protests, unaccompanied travel, and other issues.
