End of the Deadline for Deportation of Illegal Immigrants from Pakistan

Bayan News – The deadline set by the Pakistani government for the deportation of Afghan immigrants who were residing illegally in the country has ended today, Thursday (November 1st).

As the deadline approached in recent days, thousands of Afghans rushed to the border in an attempt to enter their country, but this has created numerous challenges for the migrants.

With the expiration of this deadline, the Pakistani government has issued a warning to illegal immigrants that all cities in the country will be inspected, and those found to be residing illegally will be detained and transferred to Afghanistan.

Reports indicate that Afghan migrants have been hiding in most cities of Pakistan or, out of fear of detention and forced deportation, they do not turn on their lights at night.

It is said that after this, around one million Afghan migrants are at risk of forced deportation, including those who had migrated to Pakistan out of fear of the rule of the Islamic Emirate.

However, Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, requested on Tuesday night through a statement from Pakistan that Afghans should not be forcibly deported without preparation, and that they should exercise tolerance based on good neighborliness and human compassion.

The statement by Mujahid states that Afghans pose no threat to the stability and security of any country.
