UN Development Program Headquarters in Gaza Targeted by Israeli Army Bombing

Bayan News – Simultaneously with the ongoing clashes between Hamas and the Israeli army, international media outlets have reported that the headquarters of the United Nations Development Program in the city of Gaza has been targeted by the Israeli army bombing.

According to these reports, the UN Development Program has confirmed the incident and expressed regret over the Israeli army’s bombing.

In a statement, the organization stated, “The continued tragedy of death and injury to civilians caught up in this conflict is unacceptable and must be stopped.”

The statement emphasized that civilians, civilian infrastructure, and the integrity of UN facilities should always be respected and protected, and humanitarian principles, including the principles of distinction, proportionality, and precautions in attacks, must be observed.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that the negotiations between Hamas and Israel have been halted due to the bombing of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza by the Israeli army.

It is said that both sides of the conflict were willing to negotiate for the release of hostages.
